The Southwestern Trojans (11-1, 12-2) and the Olean Huskies (11-1) will be splitting this year's East Division boys tennis title after the Trojans claimed a 3-2 victory at home on Thursday.
After losing to Olean, 4-1, a week ago, Southwestern dug deep on Thursday to split the league championship behind strong play from second singles and first doubles.
Matt Johnson claimed a big first win for the Trojans in top singles with a 6-3, 6-1 win over Jake Volz.

It was Quin White's 6-1, 6-2 win over Zhi Wang that put the Trojans in the driver's seat.
White was beaten by Wang in the previous meeting between the two teams, but came up big on Thursday.
The closest match of the day saw the Trojans' first doubles team of Adam Girts and Lucas Przygodski top Logan Cross and Ryan Brown of Olean, 7-5 in a third set tiebreaker.

FALCONER - Jamestown spotted Falconer the first-singles match, then swept the next four for a 4-1 victory.
Cooper Miller took first singles for the Golden Falcons over Liam Kulakowski, 6-1, 6-1, but the Red Raiders were in control from then on as Ryan Whisner downed Nathan Sanders, 6-4, 6-2 in second singles and Josh Anderson won third singles over Stephen Kanicki, 6-1, 6-0.
