The fourth annual Tour de Zonta will take place on Saturday, June 14. This bike ride is open to individuals and families of all ages and abilities.
The ride will start and end at the Plumbush Bed & Breakfast, which is located on Chautauqua Stedman Road,1 mile from the Chautauqua Institution main gate. Three scenic ride options will be offered to participants: a 13-16 mile "friendly" route, a 30-35 mile "intermediate" route and a 50-60 mile "expert" route.
Water and healthy snacks will be provided at checkpoints along each route. Riders will experience Chautauqua County's rolling hills, lakes, villages and views. The registration fee is $25 pre-registration by June 2, and $30 the day of the event.
The fee includes a T-shirt (guaranteed for pre-registration and until they run out the day of the event), free parking, route refreshments and a gourmet "Farm to Fork" luncheon served at the Plumbush Barn, following the ride.
Zonta Club of Jamestown is a local chapter of Zonta International, an organization of business and professional executives working together to advance the status of women worldwide. This year, Zonta International has mounted the Zonta Says "NO!" to Violence against Women campaign, which is aimed at raising awareness of and increasing actions to end violence against women and girls around the world.
Zonta Club of Jamestown will use the proceeds from this event to assist victims of domestic violence locally as well as internationally, through the Zonta International Foundation.
