Raymond E. Paisley died on May 3, 2014 at Winkler Court in Fort Myers, Fla.
Raymond was born in Cold Spring, N.Y., on June 1, 1930, to the late Percy and Lelah (Champlin) Paisley. He graduated from Mohawk Valley University in Utica, N.Y.
Raymond worked in retail for approximately 40 years. He was active in the Lutheran church in many capacities including financial secretary and treasurer.
As a local merchant in Warwick, N.Y., he was a member of Rotary International and the local Chamber of Commerce. He volunteered for five years at the J.N. "Ding" Darling National Wildlife Refuge.
Besides his wife, Marion (Janes) Paisley, he is survived by sons: Roy (Susan) Paisley and Alan (Josephine) Paisley; and daughters: Gail (Wayne) Hampel and Lois (Brad) Thom. He is furthered survived by eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Raymond is predeceased by his four brothers: Clarence, John, Donald and Robert; as well as his granddaughter, Rebecca Thom.
A memorial service will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 4770 Orange Grove Blvd., North Fort Myers, Fla.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Good Shepherd Lutheran Church or to the American Bible Society.
