Jamestown police have taken two more men into custody in the ongoing investigation into the sale and trafficking of narcotics in the city.
At 2:15 a.m. Friday morning, investigators and members of the SWAT team executed a search warrant at 846 Lafayette St., Apt. 1 and took 45-year-old Tyrone C. VanHook and 37-year-old Simeon A. Leeper into custody. Inside the apartment, a quantity of crack cocaine, drug paraphernalia and a large quantity of cash was located.
Upon initial entry into the residence, investigators saw Leeper flush a quantity of drugs into a toilet.
VanHook was charged with third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and criminal use of drug paraphernalia. Leeper was charged with criminal tampering with physical evidence and second-degree obstructing governmental administration.
Both subjects are currently being held in city jail awaiting arraignment.
