April 29, 2014
Post-Journal

LAKEWOOD - The Lakewood Library is celebrating spring. Cornell Cooperative Extension of Chautauqua County Master Gardener volunteers arrived with their tools on Thursday morning to shape-up the Lakewood Library landscape for the season. Master Gardener volunteers Janet Forbes, Pat Smith, Jan Barelle and Reg Boutwell, under the direction of Master Gardener Jim Cowan, raked, weeded, trimmed bushes and performed many other necessary gardening tasks to prepare the library for the coming summer. Betsy Shepherd, library trustee, and Alan Brown and Nancy Bargar joined the Master Gardeners in their work.
