Dale Henry Croscutt, 70, of Taylorsville, N.C., passed away unexpectedly on April 23, 2014, while visiting in Clymer, N.Y.
Dale was born in Jamestown, N.Y. on Sept. 3, 1943, to the late Donald and Hazel Croscutt.
He graduated from Sherman Central School in 1961 and Alfred Ag & Tech in 1963.
Dale owned a dairy farm for several years, and then became a salesman for several chemical com-panies, working mostly in Pennsylvania. Later he worked for the state of Florida, as an agricultural appraiser, before moving to North Carolina in 2005. He also worked for Tractor Supply Company, retiring in 2011.
His hobbies included collecting antiques and spending time with his horses. He enjoyed traveling to visit family and friends. Dale was always active in his home church. He was continually working on projects for those close to him. He was not above "harassing" the ones he loved.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Donald and Hazel Croscutt.
Surviving are his wife Sandra Hitchcock Bush of Taylorsville, N.C.; two daughters: Donna (Robert) White of Taylorsville, N.C., and Michelle (Kevin) Lundeen of Ripley, N.Y.; three sons; Rex (Chris) Pears of Home, Pa., Todd (Judy) Bush, and Michael (Bonnie) Bush; a sister, Alberta (Harvey) Oonk of Clymer, N.Y.; and a brother Duane (Carol) Croscutt of New Bern, N.C. Also surviving are 11 grandchil-dren and eight great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends on Monday at the Spitzer Funeral Home in Clymer, N.Y. from 1-3 p.m. and the funeral service will be held there at 3 p.m. Burial will be at a later date at the convenience of the family.
