CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE
PORTLAND - Amanda L. Costanzo, 19, of Jamestown was charged Sunday with third-degree assault. Deputies took a report of an incident that had allegedly occurred on Doloff Road around 1 a.m. Following an investigation, Costanzo was arrested. She will appear in Poland Court at a later date.
LAKEWOOD-BUSTI POLICE DEPARTMENT
Kristy L. Martinez, 43, of Jamestown was charged on April 8 with petit larceny. After a brief investigation, Martinez was identified as a subject who entered Sears and took merchandise without paying for it. She will appear in Busti Court at a later date.
NEW YORK STATE POLICE
Mark W. Frankson, 46, of Jamestown was charged Sunday with felony driving while intoxicated, first-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, operating out of the interlock restriction (misdemeanor) and operating with hands not on handlebars (violation). Frankson was stopped on East Second Street after troopers observed him driving his motorcycle with no hands and swerving on the roadway. A strong odor of alcohol was detected and after sobriety tests, Frankson was placed under arrest for DWI and transported to the state police barracks in Jamestown for processing where a blood alcohol content of .16 was obtained. All tickets are returnable to Jamestown Court.
ELLICOTT - William R. Swanson, 58, of Kennedy was charged Sunday with felony driving while intoxicated, menacing a police officer, fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon and disorderly conduct. Troopers attempted to interview Swanson regarding a complaint of a man driving on Poland Center Road and yelling at residents. Swanson was located at his residence where he menaced a trooper with a billy club upon answering the door. Swanson was taken into custody and transported to the state police barracks in Jamestown where he was processed and a blood alcohol content of .26 was obtained. He was arraigned in Ellicott Court and committed to Chautauqua County Jail.
SHERMAN - Daryl Freeman, 44, of Sherman was charged Sunday with fifth-degree criminal possession of stolen property and trespass after an investigation into a report of trespass and larceny of metal scrap in Sherman. Freeman was found to be in possession of the stolen scrap metal and was transported to the state police barracks in Jamestown for processing. He was issued appearance tickets and will appear in Sherman Court at a later date.
