Lois I. Williams, 94, of Kennedy passed away Monday (April 21, 2014) in WCA Hospital.
A lifelong area resident, she was born Oct. 16, 1919, in Jamestown, the daughter of the late Irvin and Nellie Crandall Penhollow.
Lois attended Jamestown High School and in earlier years was employed by Jamestown Sterling and Paul B. Temple Elementary School in Kennedy. Prior to retirement she was em-ployed by Truck-Lite, retir-ing in 1984.
She was a member of Clarks Corners Community Church and in earlier years had served as Sunday School and Bible School teacher. Lois was also a member of the Kennedy Grange, Myrtle Cemetery Association and enjoyed reading the Bible.
Surviving are her son Gerald "Gerry" Williams of Falconer; a daughter Donna Williams of Kennedy; nine grandchildren; one great grandchild and three great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Albert E. Williams whom she married March 13, 1939, in Jamestown, who died Nov. 12, 2011; a grandson Jeffrey Williams, a great grandson Robert Williams; her brother Robert "Tiny" Penhollow and a sister Irene Spaulding.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Thursday in the Falconer Funeral Home. The Rev. Walter Venman, pastor of Clarks Corners Community Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Myrtle Cemetery, Clarks Corners.
The family will receive friends from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home.
