RANDOLPH, N.Y. - James K. Wood, 57, of Chubb Road, Randolph, passed away 11:20 p.m. Sunday, April 20, 2014, at home while under the care of Hospice.
Mr. Wood was born April 28, 1956, in Jamestown, N.Y., the son of the late Alvin J. and Dorothy (Rowley) Wood.
Jim attended Falconer Central School. Mr. Wood was a veteran of the United States Marine Corp. serving from Dec. 27, 1973, to Oct. 6, 1976.
Prior to his illness, James worked for Keywell, Inc. in Frewsburg and was self employed with his pressure washing business. He was a member of the Randolph American Legion Post 181. Mr. Wood is survived by his wife, Rebecca Grover Wood; two sons: James K. Wood II of Buffalo and An-drew Wood of Graham, Wash.; a stepson; Shawn Maynard of Randolph; and a stepdaughter, Shaye Johnson of Russell, Pa.; 11 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; four brothers: Richard Wood of Randolph, Michael Wood of Virginia, John Wood of Jamestown and Douglas Wood of Falconer; two sisters: Joan Wood and Judith Woncki.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Gordon Wood.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, April 24, 2014, in the Pine Hill Cemetery in Falconer. The Randolph American Legion Post 181 will conduct full Military Honors.
