Bernice (Phillips) Range, 74, of Hoag Road, Panama, N.Y., peacefully went to be with the Lord Saturday, April 19, 2014, at WCA Hospital.
She was born July 17, 1939, in Paducah, Ky., the daughter of the late Jessie and Annabelle Phillips.
She worked for many years at different business's in the area. After working at Jamesway until they closed, she worked at Timber Creek Golf Course, in her retirement years, talking to and making many friends. Some of Bernice's favorite things she enjoyed to do were cooking, knitting and making quilts. She loved watching her pet humming birds.
She is survived by her husband, Dale, whom she was married to for over 50 years; her three children: Kenneth, Michael and Sherry; eight grandchildren: Michael Joe, Raquel, Kendra, Arianna, Jordon, Connor, Peyton and Kylie; and two great-grandsons: Nathan and Cameron.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her youngest son, Brian Range; and by four brothers and one sister.
Friends will be received from 6-8 p.m., April 22, 2014, at the Spitzer Funeral Home 8728 E. Main St. Clymer, N.Y., and for one hour prior to the service at church.
The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., April 23, 2014, at the Niobe Baptist Church, with the Rev. Kevin Hadley, pastor of the church, officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the Niobe Baptist Church, of the Panama Fire Department.
