Frank L. Imm, 77, passed away at his home in Port Charlotte, Fla., on Wednesday, April 16, 2014.
He was the son of Henry Imm and Pauline Lewis Imm Steger, and was born on Sept. 22, 1936, in the town of Charlotte, N.Y.
He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War, and returned to Chautauqua County in 1956.
Frank was an employee of the Chautauqua County Highway Department for 32 years, where he retired from in 1995. He was a life member of the Sinclairville Fire Department and was active in several positions at the highway credit union. Over the years, he enjoyed beef farming, his garden and his dog, Jasmine. He married Joan (LeBaron Spencer) Imm in September 2002, and spent the winter months in Florida, where he later became a full-time resident.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Jim Hoffower in 2004; and a grand-daughter, Jessica (Marz) Rosas in 2012.
Surviving are his children: Mark (Julia) Imm of Newark, Del., Justine (Brian) Marz of Abilene, Texas, Michael (Wendy) Imm of Cassadaga, N.Y., Dale (Cindy) Spencer of Pontiac, Mich., Brian (Angela) Spencer of Franklin, Tenn., Rhonda (Gary) Garrison of Clarkston, Mich., Sandra (Randy) Eberline of Land O'Lake, Fla., and Teresa Spencer of Clarkston, Mich.; two sisters: Rosella (Imm Brevoort) Carlson of Miami, Fla., Harriott (Imm) Hoffower of Bear Lake, N.Y.; two brothers: Bill (Virginia) Imm of Westfield, N.Y., and Gene Steger of Westfield, N.Y.; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren; step grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
