Watershed Conservancy To Hold Earth Day Preserve Cleanup

April 17, 2014
Post-Journal

In honor of Earth Day, the Chautauqua Watershed Conservancy will be holding a cleanup on its newly acquired Whitney Point Preserve on Saturday, April 26, at 12:30 p.m. This site contains decking and a small shed that needs to be removed in order to return the preserve to its natural state. The CWC will also be making some wildlife habitat improvements during the event. Volunteers are needed for this cleanup, including individuals with pickup trucks or trailers who are willing to transport the trash collected to the landfill. Volunteers should dress appropriately for the weather. Work gloves and insect repellent may be helpful. Interested parties may call the Conservancy at 664-2166 or email info@chautauquawate rshed.org for parking location and more information.
