Rodney J. LeRoy, 83, passed away Friday (March 28, 2014). He was a veteran of the Korean War era serving in the U.S. Army.
Rod enjoyed walking, having coffee with friends, reminiscing about old cars and spending time with his family. He will be remembered for his kind heart, gentle spirit and his deep love for his family.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 55 years, Edith LeRoy, whom he married July 3, 1954, who died Nov. 28, 2009.
Surviving are three children: Sharon (Steven) Kulig, James (Jody) LeRoy and Janet (Thomas) Giambra; three grandchildren: Amanda (Robert) Sischo, Michelle (Samuel) Northrop and James (Lauren) LeRoy; four grandchildren: Leigha and Blake Sischo, Mikayla LeRoy and Jack Northrop; and two sisters: Carol Giddy and Donna Barlow.
A private graveside service will be held Monday in Pine Hill Cemetery. The Rev. Rick LaDue, pastor of Kidder Memorial United Methodist Church, will officiate.
Visitation will not be observed.
