The Akeley United Methodist Women's group will be serving pancakes on Friday from 4:30-7:30 p.m. at the church on Akeley Road. There will also be scrambled eggs, homemade applesauce, sausage, Angove's maple syrup and beverages. The price of the dinner is by donation. The proceeds from this dinner will go toward an assortment of local missions as well as UMCOR buckets for flood relief. The Sunday school will have a bake sale to coordinate with the dinner. Homemade goodies will be available for sale as long as they last. The proceeds from this sale will go toward such things as the annual Operation Christmas Child project. This past year the Akeley Church sent over 100 boxes from this project to benefit children all over the world. Pictured are Carly Martone and Mallory Trumbull mixing pancakes at last year's event.
