In regards to Weitsman recycling being so close to people and bodies of water, my question is why?
We know scrap is just a form of manmade waste. Many of the landfills I know have to be a certain distance away from residential neighborhoods and any body of water, no matter how big or small, and has to have a liner covering the soil to protect it from contaminants.
I am not against the recycling company, indeed I think it's an asset. However, I think it needs to be moved to a more remote area with the same precautionary methods, maybe with an occasional scrubbing when it is low enough. Just an idea.
