Frank Blanco, 83, formerly of the Hotel Jamestown, passed away Monday (March 24, 2014), in Heritage Village Rehab and Skilled Nursing, Gerry.
He was born April 25, 1930, in Watts Flats, N.Y., the son of the late Frank and Grace Lombardo Blanco.
Frank attended Watts Flats, Panama and Jamestown schools. He was employed by City Air Bus and for various cab companies as a driver. He enjoyed gardening and loved all sports, especially baseball and horse racing.
He is survived by a daughter, Cathy Blanco of Marietta, Ga.; a son, Michael (Susan) Blanco of Bear Lake, Pa.; three grandchildren: Tyler, Lauren and Allison. He is also survived by nieces: Marcia (Daniel) Scapelitte and Cindy (Jim) Carey of Ocala, Fla.; a nephew, Tommy Schreffler of Warren, Pa., and many more nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, John Blanco of Ocala, Fla., and died Janu-ary of 2014.
A memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family.
