Janet F. Pruden Pintagro, 74, of Jamestown, died Thursday, March 20, 2014, at her home in Jamestown.
She was born Sept. 27, 1939, to the late Chester Thomas and Virginia Ripley Pruden. Janet was a cook at The Resource Center in Jamestown.
She enjoyed Bible study, puzzles, reading and bingo. Janet was a member of the Red Hatters and a life member of the Lakewood Rod & Gun Ladies Auxiliary. She was always doing for others and always thinking of others.
Janet is survived by her stepdaughter, Debra Brake of Jamestown; three step-grandchildren: Brian Ecker of Panama, Steve Ecker of Greenhurst, Matt Ecker of Jamestown; six step-great-grandchildren: Ava and Ethan Ecker of Panama, Sarinah and Jordan Ecker, and Kaleb Wilson, all of Jamestown, and Kyle Ecker of Randolph; two brothers: Sam (Carolyn) Pruden of Newell, W.Va., and Ed (Jane) Pruden of E. Liverpool, Ohio; an aunt, Delores Dunlevy of Chester, W.Va.; and two nieces and two nephews.
A memorial service will be held at the Frewsburg Alliance Church, Frews-burg, on Saturday, March 29, 2014, at 11 a.m. A luncheon will be held immediately following the service.
