Roger W. Milks, 64, of Jamestown, N.Y., passed away Friday, March 21, 2014, at UPMC Hamot in Erie, Pa.
He was born July 10, 1949, in Jamestown, N.Y., the son of the late Richard and Lenora (Schneider) Milks of Napoli, N.Y.
Roger worked for the family business, Acme Moving and Storage of Buffalo, N.Y., before settling in Cherry Creek. While living in Cherry Creek, N.Y., he owned and operated Westbound Transport, retiring due to poor health.
Roger was an avid fisherman, and enjoyed hunting, especially with his long-time friend, Allen ''Bunk'' Haskins. Roger spent many hours enjoying the friendship of ''Bunk'' and his family. He often referred to ''Bunk'' as his boy.
Surviving are his daughter, Joyce Milks of Tennessee; his sister, Jessie (Steve) King of Cherry Creek. N.Y.; two brothers: Richard D. Milks of Kenmore, N.Y., and Kenneth L. Milks of Pittsburg, Pa.; and several grandchildren.
Besides his parents, Roger was preceded in death by his older brother, Dan (Elaine) Milks of Buffalo, N.Y.
No visitation will be observed. A memorial service will be held in the summer at the convenience of the family.
