Frank G. Maleski, 88, of Old Road, French Creek, N.Y., died Thursday, March 20, 2014, at his home, after a courageous battle with cancer, surrounded by his family.
He was born Aug. 28, 1925, in French Creek, N.Y., the son of the late Walter and Lena Goulding Maleski.
A lifelong resident of French Creek, he started dairy farming at the age of 14 and retired from milking when he was 84. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, polka music and family gatherings.

Frank is survived by children: Elaine Maleski, Julie Maleski, Marilyn (Willy) Harman, Michael (Teresa) Maleski and Rick (Lynn) Walker; 16 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; a sister, Flora Goodwill; and many nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Elizabeth "Betty" Maleski, who died April 12, 2001, whom he married Jan. 10, 1946; an infant son and daughter; three brothers: Glenn, George and James Maleski; and a sister, Grace Hallet.
Friends will be received from 2-5 p.m. Sunday, March 23, 2014, at the Spitzer Funeral Home, 8728 E. Main St., Clymer, N.Y.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Monday, March 24, 2014, at St. Matthias Roman Catholic Church, French Creek, N.Y. Burial will be in St. Matthias Cemetery.
