CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE
FRENCH CREEK-Mark A. Kopta, 56, of French Creek, was charged Sunday with no/inadequate lights, failing to comply with lawful order, obstructing governmental administration and resisting arrest. At approximately 8:39 p.m., deputies attempted to stop a vehicle on Mann Road for a vehicle equipment violation. The vehicle failed to comply with deputies, continued down Mann Road, proceeded down a long driveway and eventually came to a stop. The driver-Kopta-exited the vehicle and began to walk away. He disregarded commands to return to the vehicle. After a struggle, Kopta was taken into custody. He was arraigned in Mina Court and released. He will appear in French Creek Court at a later date.
MINA-Patrick J. Donahue, 24, of Angola, was charged Sunday with driving while intoxicated and failure to maintain lane. At approximately 5 a.m., deputies responded to a personal injury rollover accident on Interstate 86. Investigation found that Donahue had been traveling eastbound on I-86 when his vehicle left the roadway and rolled over on the hood of his car. He was treated at the scene for minor injuries. Donahue was found to be intoxicated. He was processed and will appear in Mina Court at a later date.
BROCTON-Nicholas A. Ferrara, 49, of Frewsburg, was charged Friday with driving while intoxicated, DWI Per Se with blood alcohol content of .08 percent or above, refusal of breath test pre-screen and operating a motor vehicle while using a mobile phone. At approximately 9 p.m., deputies observed an individual using a mobile phone while driving. Upon investigation, the driver-Ferrara-was found to be intoxicated. He will appear in Brocton Court at a later date.
RIPLEY-A 25-year-old Mayville woman, and Kevin Perry, 29, of Westfield, were involved in a two-vehicle accident with injuries on Saturday. At approximately 11:16 a.m., the Mayville woman was traveling northbound on Route 76. As she was attempting a left turn, another northbound vehicle operated by Perry rear-ended her. The Mayville woman and two of her passengers were evaluated on scene by EMS and declined treatment. Perry was transported by ambulance to Westfield Hospital for apparently minor injuries.
HANOVER-David A. Blodgett, 50, of Dunkirk, was charged Sunday with fourth-degree criminal mischief. At approximately 8:34 p.m., deputies responded to Lake Shore Hospital for a report of a disorderly subject in the emergency room. It is alleged that Blodgett became disorderly and ripped a faucet from a sink in one of the patient rooms in the emergency room. He was issued an appearance ticket and will appear in Hanover Court at a later date.
JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT
Dewight D. Milton-Edwards, 26, of Jamestown, was charged Friday with public lewdness and three outstanding bench warrants. At approximately 4:10 p.m., officers responded to the area of Crestline Drive and Anderson Street for a report of a suspicious male that was exposing himself to citizens and urinating. Milton-Edwards was taken into custody without incident.
Ryan J. Paulisick, 20, of Kennedy, was charged with second-degree criminal contempt. At approximately 9:16 p.m., officers performed a traffic stop on Cole Avenue. During the traffic stop, officers located Paulisick with a male victim. Paulisick has a valid Jamestown City Court order of protection to stay away from the victim. He was transported to city jail without incident.
ELLICOTT POLICE DEPARTMENT
Kevin K. Arguelles, 29, of Falconer, was charged Friday with second-degree harassment. Arguelles threatened a victim at a Falconer business. He was issued an appearance ticket and will appear in Ellicott Court at a later date.
LAKEWOOD-BUSTI POLICE DEPARTMENT
Carol B. Preston, 52, was charged Sunday with driving while intoxicated and driving across hazard markings. At approximately 10:34 p.m., Preston was stopped for driving over the fog line several times on the Forest Avenue Extension. Further investigation revealed that Preston was intoxicated. She will appear in Busti Court at a later date.
CATTARAUGUS COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE
ALLEGANY-Dustin C. Cooney, 27, of Allegany, was charged Tuesday with DWI, moving from lane unsafely, following too closely and unlicensed operator. Cooney was charged after hitting a vehicle that was stopped behind a school bus with its red lights flashing. Cooney had reportedly passed a vehicle and when he reentered the lane, struck the vehicle behind the bus. He was arraigned in Olean Court and is scheduled to appear in Allegany Court on a later date.
