The Winifred Crawford Dibert Boys & Girls Club of Jamestown recently held its annual dinner and awards program, recognizing board members and officers for their dedication and service to youth.
Board President Rex McCray expressed appreciation for the commitment of time and effort contributed by the entire board serving actively on committees, fund raisers and other special projects.
2014 is the local club's 75th anniversary, with monthly events scheduled throughout the year celebrating the theme "75 Years Building Futures!"

Board officers continuing terms of service in 2014 include President Rex McCray, Vice President Douglas Nelson, Secretary Christine Melice, Treasurer Edith Bensink and Assistant Treasurer Gary Loll.
Susan Stancombe, serving her fifth year with the local club, received the Exceptional Service to Youth Award, the local club's highest honor presented to a board member each year. President Rex McCray noted that "Susan is an extremely active board member, volunteering in the club for special projects and has expanded our annual fund raising events. She approaches every project with incredible energy and attention to detail."
Kenneth Brown was introduced and welcomed as the organization's newest board member. Brown is a financial adviser with Northwest Savings Bank.
Outgoing board member Charles Nazzaro was recognized for his nine years of service to the organization, serving two terms as treasurer and several years as finance chair, also actively participating in annual fundraising efforts.
Retiring after 25 years of service, Sally Myers was named as an honorary member of the board and life member of the organization. Myers served two terms as president. She joined the club board in 1990 and had previously been active with the club's Parents Advisory Council, for a total of 25 years of service.
