The Jamestown Police Department seized $15,000 worth of cocaine during a traffic stop Tuesday and made a drug bust at a Lafayette Street residence Wednesday morning.
Labrittany M. Eaddy, 31, of Dunkirk, was taken into custody Tuesday night following a traffic stop. Eaddy, who allegedly ran a stop sign on Lakeview Avenue, had marijuana in plain view inside her 2003 Lincoln Navigator, police said. After an investigation, police seized 3 ounces of cocaine, a scale and $800 cash.
Police said the street value of the cocaine is $15,000. Eaddy is being held in Jamestown City Jail, pending her arraignment.
The JPD SWAT Team - along with JPD Drug Enforcement Unit investigators, the New York State Police CNET and U.S. Department of Homeland Security agents - seized 16 grams of cocaine from 705 Lafayette St. at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday. Police also seized hydrocodone, marijuana and drug paraphernalia from the upper apartment.
Following the execution of a search warrant, Kylie Reeves, 21, and Ashley Kendall, 21, both of Jamestown, were charged with third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, fourth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. Kendall also received two counts of endangering the welfare of a child.
The charges resulted from an investigation lasting several weeks. Police said the investigation will continue, and more arrests are expected.
