Karen J. Nyweide, 53, finished her race, and entered into heaven on March 4, 2014.
Karen was born on May 12, 1960, in Westfield, N.Y. She was a devoted wife of 33 years to Clifton Nyweide. They made their home at 630 Clymer Sherman Road, Clymer, N.Y.
Karen was a proud and caring mother to her two daughters: Nichole (Aaron) Goetzinger of Raeford, N.C., and Morgan Nyweide of Jacksonville, N.C.
Clif and Karen spent as much time as they could in North Carolina, and moved to Fayetteville, N.C., for the last month of her life. This was her wish so she could spend her last days as "Mimi" to Aiden, Hannidy, Ellany, Emmary and McKynleigh Goetzinger. Karen took total joy in being surrounded by her grandchildren.
Karen enjoyed crafts, cake decorating, and spending time with lifelong friends. She loved showing hospitality, and enjoyed planning and hosting get- togethers for friends and family with Clif.
Karen graduated in 1978 from Panama Central School and from Jamestown Business College in 1980. She was a member of Panama Baptist Church for more than 40 years and served in numerous capaci-ties.
Karen was a strong woman of faith and took pleasure in helping others.
She is survived by a sister, Kathy (Rick) Carter of Gibsonville, N.C.; brothers: Dennis and David Saulsgiver; and a much loved grandmother, Emogene Saulsgiver of Panama, N.Y.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Rebecca Saulsgiver; grandfathers: Lawrence McCartney and Dwight Sausgiver; and her special mother-in-law, Margaret Nyweide.
The family suggests memorials be made to the Chautauqua County or Cape Fear Valley Hospice, or the Hydrocephalus Foundation.
