Paul J. Blitz, 81, of Avon Park, Fla., passed away Monday, Feb. 24, 2014.
Mr. Blitz was born Oct. 19, 1932, in Williamsport, Pa., to the late Valentine Carl and Florence (Shurer) Blitz.
He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War, and the retired owner of the House of Glass in Wellsville, N.Y.

He was the past president of the Lions Club, and belonged to the Veterans of Foreign Wars, American Legion, Moose and Elks in Wellsville.
In his later years, he spent the summer months in Kennedy, N.Y., on his son's farm and winters in Avon Park, Fla. He loved being with his family, helping on the farm, feeding his ducks and golfing on the Sunset Senior League.
He is a member of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church in Avon Park, and Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Jamestown.
Survivors include his loving wife of 57 years, Rita; children: Ken Blitz (Carrie) of Kennedy, N.Y., Steven Blitz (Beth) of Lakeland, Fla., Karen Lehman of Wellsville, N.Y., and Stuart Blitz (Kim) of Wellsville, N.Y.; brothers: Carl Blitz of Michigan, Robert Blitz (Sherry) of Arizona; sisters: Delores Searcy and Mary Jackson, both of New York; sister-in-law, Lucy Kamas of Elmira, N.Y.; 10 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; along with many nieces and nephews. Paul's family and friends celebrated his life on Wednesday, Feb. 26, 2014, at the Lake Bonnet Village Clubhouse in Avon Park. Interment will be at the family's convenience in Wellsville, N.Y.
