LAKEWOOD - The Lakewood Family YMCA and McDonald's have announced that the sixth annual McDonald's 3-On-3 March Madness Youth Basketball Tournament will be held at the Lakewood YMCA on March 22.
The proceeds from the tournament will help provide scholarships for children attending YMCA summer camp programs.
The event will feature both a boys and girls tournament, which is open to all youth, in grades 3 through 12. Divisions are grade 3 and 4, 5 and 6, 7 and 8, 9 and 10, and 11 and 12, with separate teams for boys and girls.
In front, Brittany Chase, marketing representative from McDonald’s, is seen with some Lakewood Family YMCA members who will participate in the McDonald’s 3-On-3 March Madness Youth Basketball Tournament.
The cost is $100 per team, which includes custom team T-shirts and a pre-tournament pizza party and skills contest. Awards will be given to the first- and second-place winners for all divisions.
The pizza party will be held at the Lakewood YMCA on March 21 from 6-8 p.m., and teams can pick up their T-shirts and schedules that night.
The free skills contest will also take place that night.
The entry deadline is March 11.
