Jack B. Wheeler, 82, of Panama, passed away Friday (Feb. 21, 2014) in WCA Hospital.
He was born Feb. 23, 1931, in Cattaraugus County, the son of the late Henry K. and Julia Honaker Wheeler.
Jack attended Falconer High School and served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War from 1951-54. In earlier years he was an Electrician with B&E Electric in Jamestown. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and trapping. Jack was a member of the Big Tree Sportsman Club and several others. He had been a licensed pilot, and owned his own airplane in Randolph.

He is survived by his sister, DeMaris Munson of Jamestown; nieces: Marsha (Paul) Donner of Jamestown, Julie (James) Ditonto of Kennedy, Dorothy (Robert) Cocharan of Kennedy; and nephews: Daniel Munson of Jamestown, Dennis G. Wheeler of Jamestown, Gordon S. Wheeler of Binghamton, N.Y., and Dale (Rita) Wilson of Indiana.
Besides his parents he is preceded in death by his sister, Rose Sager; his brother, Gordon Wheeler; and several other brothers and sisters.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Monday in the Falconer Funeral Home. The Rev. Don Ray will officiate. Friends will be received from one hour prior to the service in the funeral home. Burial will be in Myrtle Cemetery, Clarks Corners.
