FALCONER - The American Cancer Society Relay For Life of Southern Chautauqua County will host a kickoff event from 6-7 p.m. Thursday at Falconer United Methodist Church.
The kickoff will honor cancer survivors and caregivers, and will feature speakers from the community who have benefited from the funds raised at Relay For Life. Those interested will also be able to register to participate for the event to be held on May 31 beginning at noon at Frewsburg High School track.
The Relay For Life mobilizes communities throughout the country to celebrate people who have battled cancer, remember loved ones lost and provide participants with an opportunity to fight back against cancer. The Relay For Life will take place in nearly 6,000 communities in the United States and 20 other countries and will raise money to support the mission of the American Cancer Society.
