KIANTONE - A 5-year-old child was injured and sent to WCA Hospital following a two-car collision Friday afternoon.
According to the New York State Police, a South Dayton woman and her two kids - a 5-year-old and 2-year-old - were traveling northbound on Route 60 when her minivan allegedly struck a sedan traveling eastbound on Peck Settlement Road at approximately 1:31 p.m.
Both the woman and the driver of the sedan - a Sugar Grove, Pa., resident - claim they had a green light at the time.
The 5-year-old child was transported to WCA Hospital by the Kiantone Fire Department. The extent of the child's injuries was unavailable at press time.
No other injuries were reported.
Charges are pending an ongoing investigation.
