FREWSBURG, N.Y. - Shirley A. Anderson, 72, of 8 Charles St., died Tuesday, Feb. 4, 2014, at her home.
She was born Oct. 21, 1941, in Warren, Pa., the daughter of Everett and Geneva Moore Carlson.
In earlier years, she had worked for the former Bigelow's Department Store, and was a member of the Viking Drum Corp Color Guard and the Frewsburg American Legion Ladies Auxiliary.
Shirley was truly a people person. She enjoyed meeting others and being around them. She also enjoyed dancing for many years.
Shirley is survived by her husband, Robert Anderson, whom she married Dec. 21, 1977; five children: Robert (Linda) Anderson of Orlando, Fla., Douglas (Ann) Anderson of Oviedo, Fla., Dr. Daniel Anderson of Troy, Mich., Diane (John) Kliem of Fairfax Station, Va., and Richard (Tina) Anderson of Painesville, Ohio; eight grandchildren: Dalton, Shania, Kevin, Jillian and Eric Anderson, Alison, John and Emily Kliem; two brothers: Frank Carlson of Frewsburg, and Roger Carlson of North Fort Myers, Fla.; and a sister, Judith Rossing of Frewsburg.
Besides her parents, Shirley was predeceased by a brother, Thomas Carlson.
A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 15, 2014, in the Peter-son Funeral Home, Frewsburg. The Rev. Cameron Lienhart, pastor of Trinity United Methodist Church, Frewsburg, will officiate.
Interment will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Frewsburg.
The family will receive friends two hours prior to the service in the funeral home.
