Carol J. Emerson, 61, of Falconer passed away Friday (Jan. 31, 2014) in Roswell Park Cancer Hospital, Buffalo.
A lifelong area resident she was born Nov. 22, 1952, in Jamestown, the daughter of the late Ed and Vivian Gailbrath Heilman.
Carol was a graduate of Randolph High School and enjoyed babysitting, especially her grandchildren.
She was a member of The Breast Cancer Support Group of Jamestown and loved to be involved with her children and grandchildren's activities. Carol also enjoyed collecting movies.
Surviving are her husband, Jack L. Emerson whom she married June 26, 1971, in Randolph; three children: Christina (Timothy) Yocum of Greenville, Texas, Jeremy Emer-son (Brandi Peru) of Falconer, and Amanda (Jesse) Campbell of Falconer; 13 grandchildren: Cameron, Reuben, Maura, Gabriel, Brienna, Petra, Aryalyssa, Lyra and Ronan Yocum, Alexis Emerson, Emily, Abigail and Andrea Camp-bell; three brothers: Ron Heilman of Arizona, and Dale Heilman and Michael Heilman, both of Ran-dolph; and a sister, Dolly Vergith of Randolph.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ed and Vivian Heilman; and two sisters: Sandra Kay Heilman and Ruth Ann Heilman.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in the Falconer Funeral Home. Rev. Robert E. Lewis, pastor of First Baptist Church of Falconer, will officiate. Burial will be in Kennedy Riverside Cemetery.
Friends will be received by the family from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home.
