A promotion from within has been made at the Jamestown Savings Bank Arena.
On Friday, the Jamestown Center City Development Corporation announced the appointment of Brian Cersosimo to General Manager of the arena.
"I am very grateful for the opportunity the JCCDC has presented to me," said Cersosimo. "I look forward to leading the arena with getting back to its original roots concerning community involvement and development. We not only want the arena to be the heart of the community, but partner with all the different assets the community has to offer and really be innovative with what we can do."
Cersosimo, who was hired in September 2013 as Hockey Development Director of the arena, is expected to assume his new role immediately and oversee all operations and functions of the arena.
"The JSBA has a different dynamic with all that it can offer the community," Cersosimo said. "It is our responsibility to maximize what we can offer and then lead the way in taking the next step forward as a multi-purpose facility for the benefit of the community."
Originally from Pittsburgh, Cersosimo moved to Jamestown in June of 2013. He has been involved in hockey for over 35 years as a player, coach, administrator and owner. He has also worked and managed different business units for several different corporations throughout the years, including Ikon, Heinz, Pitney Bowes and Williams Lea.
Cersosimo resides in Jamestown, with his fiance and 5 children.
