Donald E. Hurlburt, 85, formerly of Homestead Avenue, Jamestown, N.Y., passed away Wednesday, Jan. 29, 2014, at Tanglewood Manor, Jamestown.
He was married to the former Marjorie Williamson who predeceased him Nov. 24, 2013.
He grew up in Hinsdale, N.Y., and was a veteran of the Korean War and a retired truck driver.
A resident of Bradenton, Fla., for 30 years he resided in Jamestown for the past eight years. He was a member of the Jamestown Church of Christ and the Jamestown American Legion.
Surviving are his children: Donald (Teri) Hurl-burt of Atlanta, Ga., Ronald Hurlburt of Palm Harbor, Fla., Gary (Cindy) Hurlburt of New Orleans, La., Judy (Bill) Anderson of Fredonia, N.Y., Greg (Juanita) Hurlburt of Jamestown, N.Y., and Kathy (Don) Ferguson of Orlando, Fla.; 16 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; brothers: Ralph Hurlburt of Great Valley and Max (Janiece) Hurlburt of Hinsdale, N.Y.; a sister, Nancy (Ken) Lotter of Wellsville, N.Y.; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation at the Guenther Funeral Home Inc., 1303 E. State St., Olean, Saturday, Feb. 1, 2014, from 2-5 p.m. at which time funeral and committal services will be held. Pastor Rick McCurdy will officiate.
Burial will be in Pleasant Valley Cemetery, Olean.
