A Falconer couple were charged Wednesday after police discovered the two in a parking lot in Jamestown with narcotics and a 10-year-old child inside their car.
According to the Jamestown Police Department, an officer observed Sam Critzer, 27, sitting in a parked car in the Big Lots parking lot - located at 39 S. Main St. - at approximately 4:40 p.m.
Further investigation revealed that Critzer was in the process of preparing and injecting heroin, while a separate occupant, Christina Weed, 34, was in possession of a prescription painkiller without a prescription.
The officer also found a 10-year-old child in the car.
Critzer was charged with criminal possession of a hypodermic instrument, seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and endangering the welfare of a child. Weed was charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and endangering the welfare of a child.
Both were transported to the Jamestown City Jail where they are pending arraignment.
