Edgewood Communities on the Lutheran Campus in Jamestown is beginning its third year of hosting the Best of Times Seminar Series. Janell Sluga, Geriatric Care Manager Certified with Senior Life Matters, will present a seminar on organizing documents. "The Paper Chase - What Documents to Keep and What to Toss" will be held on Thursday at 6:30 p.m. in the Chapel located in the Lutheran Home and Rehabilitation Center at 715 Falconer St. There is no charge, and reservations are not necessary.
"We had an overwhelmingly positive response to this seminar last time and decided to offer it again," Sluga said. "Households receive tons of mail, email, and work-related documents. Most people are not sure what to keep for a month, a year or forever. It all piles up and can be overwhelming."
She will review the different types of documents and the suggested length of time to keep them, as well as offer organizing tips on how to sort, file and store them.
Janell Sluga, coordinator for Senior Life Matters and Geriatric Care Manager Certified, will be presenting a free seminar for the community on which documents to shred and which documents to keep. It will be held Thursday at 6:30 p.m. in the Lutheran Chapel.
"There are so many options for storage," she said. "We have great ideas for both large and small spaces."
