FALCONER - Truck-Lite Co. LLC, a worldwide leader in heavy-duty lighting and visibility systems, has had its new custom LED headlight selected as Navistar's factory standard for forward lighting on its International ProStar on-highway Class 8 trucks.
Manufactured in the U.S.A., the custom headlights are available across North America to International Truck dealers.
Truck-Lite and Navistar engineers partnered together to develop the sleek and highly efficient ProStar custom LED forward lighting assembly. The strategically designed visibility system is the industry's first 100 percent LED lighting assembly. An LED headlight, an LED turn signal and an LED daytime running light will be standard equipment on ProStar Class 8 trucks in North America. Truck-Lite's optics are designed to create a smooth beam pattern that meets all regulated safety standards and places the light on the road without glare to oncoming traffic. The new ProStar custom LED forward lighting assembly boasts a long and efficient life cycle that is rated at over 30,000 hours.

"With the new LED forward lighting assembly, Truck-Lite and International are delivering more white light on the road, adding significant peripheral road clarity and increased forward visibility which enhances the drivers feeling of safety," said Brad Van Riper, Truck-Lite's chief technology officer.
"International is committed to providing the safest and most comfortable driver environment in the industry," added Steve Gilligan, vice president, product planning and information, Navistar. "With the addition of Truck-Lite's LED lighting we're raising the bar for driver safety and satisfaction."
