JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT
Bless M. Grant, 21, of Jamestown was charged Tuesday with fourth-degree criminal mischief. At approximately 11 p.m., officers responded to Linwood Avenue for a report of criminal mischief. Further investigation revealed that Grant broke the victim's residence door window and then fled the scene. Officers located Grant and took him into custody without incident. He is currently awaiting arraignment by Jamestown City Court.
George W. Edington III, 25, of Jamestown was charged Wednesday with third-degree criminal mischief. At approximately 3:16 a.m., officers were dispatched to 30 Lakeview Ave. for a report of a male who just smashed the windshield and back window of a vehicle. Upon arrival, officers followed footprints in the snow from the damaged vehicle to the corner of East Eighth Street and Grant Street, where they located Edington. The owner of the damaged vehicle positively identified Edington as the subject who damaged his vehicle. Edington was taken into custody and awaits arraignment at the city jail.
CATTARAUGUS COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE
ALLEGANY - John H. Hudson, 29, of Salamanca was charged Tuesday with leaving the scene of a property damage accident, broken windshield, driving without headlights 30 minutes after sunset, drinking while intoxicated, driving with a blood alcohol content of .18 percent or greater, first-degree aggravated unlicensed operator and driving a vehicle without an interlock device. At approximately 2 a.m., deputies responded to Buffalo Road to investigate a pickup truck that was driving without its lights on. Deputies discovered Hudson was driving the vehicle, which had substantial front end and windshield damage. Further investigation revealed that there was a road sign that had been knocked over and a tree damaged on Smith Hollow. Hudson was arraigned in Hinsdale Town Court and remanded to Cattaraugus County Jail on $5,000 bail. He will appear at Allegany Court at a later date.
DAYTON - Charles M. Evans, 54, of Cattaraugus was charged Saturday with third-degree assault and criminal obstruction of breathing. At approximately 4:30 p.m., Evans was taken into custody following an incident which occurred the previous evening. He was remanded to Cattaraugus County Jail in lieu of $1,000 bail. No further details were made available.
YORKSHIRE - Derek A. Stock, 32, of Yorkshire was charged Jan. 9 of second-degree harassment and endangering the welfare of a child. At approximately 1:19 p.m., Stock was taken into custody following a domestic dispute. No further details were made available.
Antonieo D. Thomas, 26, of Jamestown was charged Tuesday with being a fugitive from justice and violation of probation. Troopers had a warrant from the Pennsylvania State Police in Warren, Pa., for larceny of merchandise that occurred in September 2013 at the Wal-Mart in Warren. Thomas will appear in Kiantone Court at a later date. He is currently in Chautauqua County Jail.
Alijhiah G. Minor, 18, of Naples was charged Sunday with unlawful possession of marijuana. Troopers performed a traffic stop on Minor's vehicle for speeding on Interstate 86 in Ellicott. Upon investigation, it was determined that Minor was in possession of marijuana. He will appear in Ellicott Court on Jan. 22.
Joel A. Peterson, 26, of Jamestown, was charged Saturday with unlawful possession of marijuana. Troopers determined that Peterson was in possession of marijuana during a traffic stop on Route 430 in Ellery. Peterson will appear in Ellery Court at a later date.
Riley S. Gustafson, 20, of Frewsburg, was charged Friday with unlawful possession of marijuana and loud exhaust. Troopers determined that Gustafson was in possession of marijuana during a traffic stop on Route 60 in Gerry. Gustafson will appear in Gerry Court at a later date.
Kasey M. Erhard, 21, of Sherman was charged Sunday with third-degree criminal possession of a weapon, unlawful possession of marijuana and unlawful possession of fireworks. Troopers determined that Erhard was in possession of marijuana during a traffic stop due to a loud exhaust. Erhard was also in possession of a shotgun with defaced serial numbers and fireworks. He will appear in North Harmony Court on a later date.
