Victor A. Gifford, 82, of Falconer, passed away Sunday (Jan. 12, 2014), in WCA Hospital.
He was born July 26, 1931, in Warren, Pa., the son of the late Burdette and Elizabeth Swaderski Gifford.
Victor was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving during the Korean War from 1950-52. He was employed at MRC-SKF for 47 years, retiring in 1993. Victor was a member of the National Rifle Association and the Falconer Moose Club. He enjoyed hunting, trapping and fishing.
Surviving are his wife, Darla L. McIntyre Gifford, whom he married Feb. 17, 1979, in the former Elmwood United Methodist Church; six sons: Travis, Victor, Skip, Joe, Robert and Shane; three daughters: Gina, Bambi and Angelica; his extended family, Ruth and Jackie; 28 grandchildren; 42 greatgrandchildren; and two brothers: Bill Gifford and Burdette Gifford.
He was preceded in death by a son, Ron Gifford; two daughters: Crystal and Heather Gifford; a brother, Mearle Gifford; and a sister, Anna Mae Butcher.
A memorial service will be held at a later date. Visitation will not be observed.
