The Southwestern New York Chapter of the American Red Cross is requesting nominations for this year's Hometown Hero celebration. The Hometown Hero campaign was created to acknowledge the extraordinary actions of Chautauqua County citizens. This is the 12th year that Hometown Heroes have been recognized by the American Red Cross Chapter in Chautauqua County.
Nominations are accepted for citizens in the following categories: Humanitarian, Firefighter, Law Enforcement, Emergency and Medical Personnel, Workplace, Youth and Animal Rescue. Nomination forms will be accepted until April 1.
The 2014 Hometown Heroes award winners will be selected by a group of community leaders. A celebration breakfast and recognition will occur in May at the Moon Brook Country Club in Jamestown. The Hometown Hero campaign is a chance to acknowledge those neighbors, friends and community members that go above the call of duty.
For a nomination form, visit redcross.org/swny or contact the American Red Cross at 664-5115. The American Red Cross of Southwestern New York is a United Way Community Partner.
