Every child loves new pajamas for the holidays, and Love Elementary School staff, with the help of their local community, made sure that happened for every student. More than 350 pairs of pajamas were donated so that every child in the school received a brand new pair.
"This is our eighth year providing pajamas for each child," said Love Elementary School teacher Roslyn Sisley-Kazelunas. "We received both pajamas and monetary donations from staff members, individuals from the community, service clubs and even a church in Ohio. We are so lucky to have such a generous community that helps us keep this tradition alive. It is so wonderful to see the children's faces when they put on their new pajamas and we are so excited to provide a new pair of pajamas for each student in honor of the holiday spirit."
The students wore their new pajamas to an all-school assembly right before winter break where they sang and danced to holiday songs like "Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer." They also received refreshments donated by local community members. As so many people donated, Love Elementary School would like to thank everyone who contributed. The donations helped keep a school tradition a reality for students this year.
Love Elementary School students Austin Ocasio, Kortni Covell, Ryah Leeper and Caden Emo celebrate receiving their new pajamas at their annual Pajama Party.
