FREWSBURG - Dorothy E. Dennison, 88, formerly of Dennison Road and Carroll Manor, Frewsburg, went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Monday (Jan. 13, 2014). She was a current resident of Heritage Park Rehab and Skilled Nursing.
She was born May 5, 1925, in Frewsburg, the daughter of Frank and L. Mae Mills Emo Sr.
Dorothy was coowner of the former Frewsburg News Room, and had attended Ss. Peter and Paul Church.
She was a member of the Carroll Senior Citizens, and loved and enjoyed raising her family.
Dorothy is survived by her children: Susan Fowler, Kathryn (Burt) Anderson, and Judy (Herb) Hess of Frewsburg, Ronald (Kathy) Dennison of Lakewood, Kathleen (Erhard) Welker and Linda (Mark) Fegley of Jamestown; 11 grandchildren: Kevin Dennison, Steven Hess, Mark Anderson, Jill Lilley, Beth Reboy, Jeffrey Fowler, Jennifer Sheldon, Faith Graham, Erik Welker, Sara Lambert and Brian Fegley; and 15 greatgrandchildren.
Dorothy was predeceased by her husband, Chester C. Dennison, whom she married June 3, 1943, at Ss. Peter and Paul Roman Catholic Church, and who died March 4, 1988; and two brothers: Frank Jr. and Raymond Emo.
The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday in the Peterson Funeral Home, Frewsburg. The Rev. Denis Mende, pastor of Holy Apostles Parish and the Rev. Mark Hinman, pastor of Hillcrest Baptist Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Sunset Hill Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home.
