CONEWANGO - A structure fire tore through a house in the town of Conewango on Monday, forcing the Department of Transportation to close Route 62 - between Route 241 and Flat Iron Road - for approximately three hours.
The fire, which started at approximately 9:30 a.m., led to a response from Conewango, East Randolph, Randolph, Cherry Creek and Ellington fire officials.
The house was reportedly vacated shortly after the fire started and sustained heavy damage throughout its interior. No injuries were reported.

The roadway was eventually reopened at 12:40 p.m.
An investigation is currently ongoing to determine a cause.
