Vincent "Jim" Cirincione, 87, of 14 Gwendolyn Ave., Jamestown, died at 9:30 p.m. Saturday (Dec. 21, 2013), at his residence.He was born in Falconer, N.Y. on July 28, 1926, the son of Salvatore and Romona Filutze Cirincione.
Jim was employed as the facilities caretaker at St. James Catholic Church and St. James School from 1974 retiring in 1988. He was previously employed in the construction field as a labor superintendent and helped build several buildings including WCA Hospital, Chautauqua Mall, St. James Catholic School, Jamestown High School and Panama High School. He was also the owner of Jim's Barber Shop on Baker Street, and was proud to have given all of his grandsons their first haircut.
Jim was president of the IAB Club and served as superintendent at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. He also served as chairman of his district for the Republican Party.

He and his wife were members of the Forty Niners Group, a group of friends that were married in 1949 and met monthly, the Original Italian Dancers and the Lost Neighborhood.
Jim was a communicant of St. James Catholic Church and a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and the American Legion. He served with the U.S. Navy during World War II and the Korean War. His medals earned included the American Theater Medal, Asiatic Pacific Medal and The Victory Medal.
Jim loved his grandchildren and his great grandchildren and they all loved him dearly. They all were very special to him and he enjoyed being a big part of all their lives. He was affectionately called "Papa Jim" by his great- grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife, Carmella Chiazzese Cirincione, whom he married on Oct. 22, 1949, in St. James Catholic Church; a son: David (Judy) Cirincione, Oakwood, Ga.; three daughters: Judy (Terry) Newman, Jamestown, Mary Jo (Bill) Becker, Charlotte, N.C. and Patricia (Curtis) Wood, Grand Blanc, Mich. eight grandchildren: James (Kari) Newman and Jennifer (Jason) Buck, Jamestown, Kevin (Susan) Newman, Strongville, Ohio, David (Tasha) Cirincione and Jacqueline (Jason) Bowen, Oakwood, Ga., Christopher (Renee) Becker and Ryan (Lauren) Becker, Charlotte, N.C. and Caleb Wood, Grand Blanc, Mich.; 15 great-grandchildren: Dominic Newman, Conner, Addison and Aiden Buck, Sarah Newman, Jamestown, Michealla Buck, Ridgeway, Pa., Torrie Newman, Buies Creek, N.C., Meghann and Abby Newman, Strongville, Ohio, Jace, Claire and Carly Bowen, Oakwood, Ga., Tommy Becker, Charlotte, N.C., and Vincent and Sophia Cirincione, Oakwood, Ga.; three sisters, Fannie Morgante, Lakewood, Sister Philip Marie, Buffalo and Genevieve Songer, Washington, Pa.; and several loving nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by two brothers: Joseph and Philip Cirincione.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be concelebrated at 1 p.m. Saturday in St. James Catholic Church.
The Rev. Darrell G. Duffy, pastor and the Rev. John L. Kuhlmann and the Rev. Joseph Gullo, will be the celebrants.
Inurnment will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
Friends will be received on Friday from 4 to 7 p.m. in the Hubert Funeral Home and Cremation Services where a Christian Wake Service will be held at 3:45 p.m..
