Jamestown Bowling Company will host the second of three special Holiday Sweepers on Tuesday, Dec. 24.
The final sweeper of the series is set for New Year's Day.
Each sweeper is USBC certified and will begin at 10 a.m. The entry fee is $25. Bowlers will roll three games across six lanes and the top eight scorers with handicap will then compete in single-elimination matches until a winner is determined.
The handicap system to be used is 80 percent of the difference between a bowler's average and 220, using an individual's highest average from the previous two seasons unless the bowler is 10 pins over for 21 games this season.
If a bowler does not have averages from the previous two seasons, their current average for a minimum of 21 games will be used. All others will bowl scratch.
First place, based on 40 entries, will pay $250, second place pays $150, third and fourth place $80 and sixth, seventh and eighth place $40.
