Timothy A. Sprague, 47, of 125 Barrett Ave., died unexpectedly on Saturday, Dec. 14, 2013, in his home.
He was born in Jamestown, on Aug. 28, 1966, and attended schools in Jamestown and Florida.
In earlier years, he worked in Florida, as a heavy equipment mechanic for John Deere. He had more recently been employed as a roofer for Paramount Roofing in Jamestown.
Tim was a former member of the Chautauqua Lake Fishing Association. He loved gardening and was always extremely proud of his gardens. He was also very fond of animals.
Surviving is his mother, Johanna (Tim) Holt of Sparta, Tenn.; a sister, Sandra K. (Glen) Kent of Sparta; two brothers: Randall A. Sprague of West Ellicott, and Daniel (Sarah) Holt of Wake Forest, N.C.; two stepsisters: Tammy Holt of Dallas, Texas, and Kimberly Hagelin of Jamestown; and two stepbrothers: Troy Holt of Dallas and Gregory Brink of Jamestown; a niece, Natalie Holt of Wake Forest; and nephew, Corey G. (Roxann) Sprague of Newark, N.Y.; an aunt, Sandra Russell of Buffalo; an uncle, Richard (JoAn) Nelson of Jamestown; and several cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father, Earl N. Sprague who died Dec. 26, 2000; and a brother, Steven E. Sprague, who died Dec. 3, 2011.
The funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday in the Lind Funeral Home. Pastor Timothy Stahlman will officiate. Burial will be in Lake View Cemetery.
Friends will be received from 68 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home.
