Looking for something to do after the excitement of the holiday?
The Fenton History Center is offering a post-Christmas mini camp for younger elementary students.
The Fenton education department is holding a two-day camp for children in grades 1-3 on Monday, Dec. 30, and Tuesday, Dec. 31, from 12:30-3:30 p.m. The camp, "Mysteries at the Museum," will reveal a number of the hidden away places in the Fenton Mansion and feature a tour of the current "Signs of the Season" exhibit.
Museum Teacher and Mini-Camp leader Fran Fair points out parts of the holiday exhibit to a group of school children.
The 29-room mansion has many tucked away areas that are not open to the public. The children will also hear stories about people and artifacts featured in the museum exhibits. The camp will also have games, crafts and snacks. Space is limited; reservations are required. Visit fentonhistorycenter.org or call 664-6256 for more information and to register.
