Melissa Rondenelli, 47, of Grand Island, N.Y., formerly of Brocton, N.Y., passed away Thursday, Dec. 5, 2013, at Buffalo General Hospital with her loving family by her side.
She was born in Westfield, N.Y. on May 28, 1966, and was the daughter of the late Joseph and Lois (Jenkins) Rondenelli. She was formerly of Brocton and for the past two years was a resident of Grand Island; she also had at one time resided in Boston, Mass., and the greater Buffalo area.
Melissa was employed as the director of education for the G.A. Kayser & Son Beauty Supply and Becker Beauty Store. She was a 1984 graduate of Brocton Central School and was a graduate of Alfred State College.
Melissa was a happy and loving person to everyone she met and was a devoted animal lover.
She is survived by her loving partner, Mark Gioele of Grand Island, N.Y.; her brother, Robert E. (Sheila) Spellenberg of Erie, Pa.; and her sisters: Francine Rondenelli of Fredonia, N.Y., Stephanie Rondenelli of Colorado, Julianna Rondenelli and Maree Rondenelli, both of California, and Gina Rondenelli of Dunkirk, N.Y.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Cary Speier; her brother, Rick Spellenberg; her uncle, John Rondenell; her aunt, Mary Lou Collier; and her grandparents, Frank and Josephine Rondenelli.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, Dec. 10, 2013, at 11 a.m. from the Morse Funeral Home, 51 Highland Ave., Brocton, N.Y. The Rev. Larry Morrison will officiate. Private interment will be in the Portland Evergreen Cemetery. Friends may call at the Morse Funeral Home from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Monday, Dec. 9, 2013.
