Carole Ann Powell Collins, 80, of Tanglewood Manor and more recently Heritage Green, Greenhurst, died Thursday, Dec. 5, 2013 in WCA Hospital.
She was born Nov. 22, 1933 in Manhattan, N.Y., the daughter of Willet A. and Florence Wixson Powell.
She was a graduate of Blessed Sacrament Catholic School and East New York Vocational High School. At one time she was employed by The Resource Center, Home Healthcare, and the Lutheran Home. Carole was a loving caregiver to friends and family. She had a wonderful sense of humor and had a contagious laugh. She loved being at the ocean, loved her animals and Italian food. Her devotion was to St. Anthony, because of his love for the poor. She visualized he came to her as a little girl and became her guide through life. He was her patron saint.

Carole is survived by her sons: Raymond Kaczar, Steven Kaczar, Richard Kaczar and James Kaczar; her daughter, Diane (Scott) Vanstee; a brother, Leonard W. (Cynthia) Powell; her best friend, Marie Rickerson; an adopted grand-daughter, Jessica Rickerson; her grandchildren: Lisa Bradford, Laura House, Ryan Kaczar, Steven House, Joseph Kaczar, Kristin House, Kelly Kaczar, Aaron Kaczar, Jessica Kaczar and Kristopher Kaczar; her great-grandchildren: Cash Kaczar and Veda Kaczar, and Julianna Bradford; and godchild Michelle Powell-Henderson.
She was preceded in death by her mother and father.
Friends will be received from 5-8 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 8, 2013 in the Migliore Funeral Home, where a memorial service will follow at 8 p.m. in the funeral home. The Rev. Darrell Duffy, pastor of St. James Parish, will officiate. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Sinclairville, N.Y.
