The Chautauqua County Vegetarian-Vegan Society will meet at 6 p.m. Wednesday at the YWCA, 58 S. Portage St., Westfield.
The evening's program will be a holiday get-together. The group will enjoy finger foods, listen to holiday music, play a food-related game or quiz and win small prizes.
The menu for the dinner will be holiday finger food pot luck. Those coming are invited, but not required, to bring a finger food to share which will serve between eight and 12 people, as well as the recipe. Some suggestions are party sandwiches; raw veggies with (or without) dip; fresh fruit; nuts and dried fruits; cookies. All food should be vegan with no meat, eggs, milk, butter or other dairy products used in preparing it, organic if possible, and able to be eaten off a paper plate. The cost is $6 or free for those bringing a dish to share. For more information or to make a reservation, call Gail Erb at 753-7761, days or weekends, 753-2205 during the evenings or Anne Watkins at 782-4334 or email email@example.com.
All meetings are open to the public. Those attending do not need to be vegan or vegetarian to attend a meeting. Meetings are open to anyone interested in learning about healthy eating and living. The Vegetarian Society is an information and support group for individuals seeking to explore healthy eating through vegetarian, vegan or raw food lifestyles.
