FREWSBURG - At the last regular meeting of the Frewsburg Lions Club, President Robin Schroeder introduced Angelo and Ylsa Giuffre of The Spire Theater of Jamestown. The Giuffres staged an entertaining performance including music, skits and magic.
In the business meeting, co-chairs Norma Eklund and Marty Hunt reported on the recent chicken and biscuit dinner. A profit of $895 was added to the Lions Club's Blind and Helping Hand Fund. Don Dove mentioned the annual "Senior Prom" held at the Frewsburg Rest Home. Members of the Lions and Leo clubs took part. Matt Ekstrom volunteered his time as DJ for the evening.
De Warn reported that he has recently submitted 150 pairs of used eye glasses for world-wide distribution. Norma and Jerry Eklund, chairmen of the Salvation Army Red Kettle campaign in Frewsburg, announced that the Lions will be ringing the bell on Dec. 6 and 7 at the Tops Market on Center Street. The annual Lions Club Christmas Party will be on Dec. 9 at the Nic-L Inn.
