The Busti Town Board recently approved the budget, which includes a 9.1 percent increase in the tax levy. Because of a number of new houses built recently in the town, the tax rate increase is 2.9 cents per $1,000 of assessed valuation, or a little less than 1 percent. or the amount of money raised by property taxes. The tax rate figure was not included in a recent article in The PostJournal. Also, the board's acceptance of recently constructed Cedar Brook and Copper Ridge roads adds .23 miles of road to the town.
